The Concern Committee for the Employment of Non-Resident Workers (hereinafter referred to as the "Concern Committee") was established by a resolution adopted by the Executive Committee of the Standing Committee for the Coordination of Social Affairs on 22 July 2010, with the aim of overseeing the implementation of Law No. 21/2009 "Law for the Employment of Non-Resident Workers" and related administrative regulations.
Secretary for Economy and Finance Tai Kin Ip has already appointed the following individuals as members of the "Concern Committee" for the new term:
Representatives from administrative authorities:
1) Mr. Chan Chon U, Deputy Director of the Labour Affairs Bureau
2) Ms. Lam Sau Heong, Head of the Non-resident Workers Employment Department of the Labour Affairs Bureau
Representatives from employer organizations:
1) Mr. Lo Chong Fai, Committee Member of Board of Directors of the Macao Chamber of Commerce
2) Mr. Ho Tsz Kit, Committee Member of Board of Directors of the Macao Chamber of Commerce
Representatives from employee organizations:
1) Mr. Kuong Chi Fong, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions
2) Ms. Lei Hoi Ha, Member of the Political Affairs Committee of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions
The above members will serve for a one-year term from 27 September 2025. Deputy Director Chan Chon U will also be the convener of the "Concern Committee" at the same time.
